LEGO Harry Potter Hufflepuff House Banner (76412) Review

Jun 05, 2023

In my last review of the LEGO Harry Potter Banner sets, we take a look at the Hufflepuff House Banner (76412). It has 313 pieces and retails for $34.99 like the other ones in the wave.

There are three unique minifigures included in the set, Cedric Diggory, Susan Bones, and Hannah Abbott. Cedric Diggory wears a striped yellow and black sweater with some tan legs. His double-sided head shows him smile on one side and a smirk on the other.

Susan Bones has on a gray cardigan with Hufflepuff colors. Her double-sided head shows her with a smile on one side and a scared expression on the other. She uses a rubber ponytail piece that is brand new.

Lastly, we have Hannah Abbott who has on some black robes. Her double-sided head with a smile on one side and a smirk on the other.

Like with all the other banner builds, everything builds off the center frame. It’s very bright and colorful and plant-oriented. There is a stickered crest on the right side next to some books and barrels.

The left flap has some vines on the wall along with a picture of Newt Scamander which is a nice tribute to the character. Below it ia a yellow sofa.

The other flap also has a vine and some pictures of a banner and some fruit. Below that is a bench.

The outside of the banner has a printed Hufflepuff badger emblem in the center.

The main feature of the set is the lenticular sheet and I think the Hufflepuff one is one of the better ones from the wave. The frame gives you areas to see everything that t0he sheet offers.

In the upper windows, we can see a cactus and a vine with background movement on those. There’s also a mandrake that pops out of the pot. The middle areas have a portrait of Helga Hufflepuff holding the House Cup as well as a scene showing some pots stacked up. The bottom row shows a Niffler coming out from the curtains, a fireplace, and another Niffler stealing a coin from the barrel.

Lastly, there are some removable items which include a table with treats, a pumpkin, a flowerpot, a chair, a chest with some gardening tools, a water bucket, and the House Cup.

All in all, the LEGO Harry Potter Hufflepuff House Banner (76412) is probably my favorite one out of the four sets. The amount of items included plus the use of space for the lenticular sheet is by far the best of the four Houses. Also, the three exclusive minifigures are a plus as well.

Thank you to LEGO for sending in this set for me to review. The content above represents my own opinion and not the company. Review sets sent in does not guarantee a positive review.
